HOW IT ALL BEGAN?On a journey to finding my true self I started to look for different avenues for personal development, well being and to connect and socialise with other men seeking a life that is different to what the scene had to offer. Throughout our years of living in London and experiencing the richness that comes with living in London I kept asking others around me and my closest friends: "How do you go about in dealing with the many issues you as gay or bisexual man face when there is no light at the end of the tunnel? Where do you turn to for help? Where do you find events and services that are run by gay and bisexual men for gay and bisexual men and offer a solution that help you in your journey to finding your true self, improve your quality of life, overcome confidence issues and live a healthy? Where do these like-minded individuals who want more from life come together?"

More I was talking to friends, family members, the clients I was coaching, and the many men I was meeting in my day to day life, the more I realized a lot of men were asking these questions, and the usual avenues i.e. social media, dating sites, networking events, bars and clubs, etc. did not give any of any me nor any of us what we were looking for. I originally spoke about his idea to create a one stop shop for personal development, workshops and well being for gay men to my university friend and the author of "The Energy Equation" Daniel Brown who loved my vision and helped got involved to help me in the initial stages.
As I continued to create this vision, I talked to many of my friends and started to plan the next steps. One night as I was working out at La Fitness in Piccadilly I ended up chatting to Will Pike who took interest in my Chakra Healing, Life and Business Coaching work. As the time past on we started to do an exchange of services. I became his healer, business coach and a mentor to help him overcome the many physical and emotional issues that Will at a time was facing and help him build the confidence, the knowledge and the mindset needed to empower him create his own entrepreneurial business and find his authentic self. In turn Will offered me Personal Training and support me in my vision of creating a company that cares, supports and inspires gay men to live a healthy, happy and balanced life. At that time my best friend Jenny Dainton was also doing Chakra Healing and Life Coaching sessions with me, as I shared this vision with her, she loved the idea and offered to help, and with their combined energy, love, and support I founded ‘The Velvet Journey’!
